How did you end up being an actor?

Always was an actor since the third grade.

How did you get cast as Test Tube in Escape From L.A.?

Auditioned for John Carpenter (Director/Co-Writer/Co-Composer). Got called into the room early with a mouth full of red vines. Had to chew and swallow for way too long before I could speak.

How did you prepare for the role and
how was the experience filming your scenes?

Preparation was. Memorized my lines, chose the glasses and wardrobe then just went for it.

How was the experience working with the cast and crew and what went on behind the scenes?

Great cast. Had my first fitting at the same time as Peter Fonda (Pipeline). Am a big Easy Rider fan. Joked around with make-up and hair who dressed me up as Snake Plissken's (Kurt Russell: Snake Plissken/Producer/Co-Writer) little brother squirrel Plissken. When we weren't shooting we would have an Escape From L.A. film festival in our trailers. One of us would supply the movie, another the beverages and another cigars.

What's your favorite memory or memories of working on the movie?

Favorite memory was shooting in the Los Angeles (Memorial) Coliseum. Lot of night shoots. Lots and lots of extras.

What do you think of the movie personally?

I love the movie. I loved the original too.

What are you currently doing and what do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

I'm currently appearing on Season 3 of Ray Donovan. Had a movie Faults come out this year. Available on Netflix and iTunes.

Thank you for your time, Leland.
